new Delhi. The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India on Wednesday said it has recalled 1,34,885 Wagon-R and Baleno model vehicles. The company has said that it will check the faulty fuel pump in these units and they will be replaced free of cost if found to have faults.
Maruti Suzuki India said in a statement that the company has voluntarily recalled the vehicles. Under this, Wagon-R (1 liter) made between November 15, 2018 to October 15, 2019 and Baleno (Petrol) made between January 8, 2019 to November 4, 2019 have been recalled. A total of 1,34,885 vehicles from both models have been included under this recall.
The company has said that it will test 56,663 units of the Wagon-R and 78,222 units of the Baleno to check for possible fuel pumps. The company has said that the bad part will be replaced without any cost. Owners of these vehicles will be contacted by the company's authorized dealer and will be given time to bring their vehicle to the workshop.
