new Delhi. CNG prices have been changed in Delhi NCR. Indraprastha Gas Limited has increased the prices of CNG in most cities of Delhi and NCR. In Delhi, the price of CNG has now increased by 80 paise per kg. So far, CNG is being available in Delhi at Rs 43 per kg but from 6 am on Friday, the price is going up to Rs 43.80 per kg. The price hike has been decided on the basis of international market.
CNG prices have also been increased in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. In these three cities of Uttar Pradesh, now the price of CNG has increased to Rs 49.65 per kg, which was Rs 48.75 per kg till now, that is, the price in these 3 cities of UP has increased by 90 paise per kg. The price will now be Rs 58.25 in Muzaffarnagar and Rs 61.50 per kg in Kanpur.
Talking about the cities of Haryana, the price of CNG in Gurugram and Rewari will be Rs 55 per kg, in Karnal from Friday morning the price of CNG will be Rs 51.85, which was Rs 50.85 earlier. Apart from Karnal, the price of CNG in Kaithal has also gone up to Rs 51.85 per kg.
Fluctuations in CNG prices depend on the international prices of natural gas. At the same time, the base price of gas is linked to the dollar, so fluctuations in the prices of the dollar also affect the CNG prices. At present, the rupee continues to be weak against the dollar and the rupee has broken about 5% so far this year, it has also seen pressure on prices. In the month of June, there was an increase in CNG prices. On June 2, CNG prices in Delhi NCR had increased by Rs 1 per kg. However, CNG prices were cut by Rs 3.2 per kg in April. Due to the lockdown in March-April, there was a sharp drop in international prices of fuel, which benefited the customer. However, with the increase in demand, fuel prices are now registering an upward trend, so prices are also increasing.
