PUBG Mobile Lifetime Revenue Hits $ 3 Billion With 2020 Already Pitching in $ 1.3 Billion: Sensor Tower

The globally famous action game PUBG Mobile (Player Unknown Battlegrounds) owned by Tencent Games has earned revenue of around Rs 9,731 crore ($ 1.3 billion) from the world in the first half of this year. Overall, the company has so far received a total revenue of Rs 22,457 crore ($ 3 billion). It is the most downloaded in India with 17.5 million installs. Due to the implementation of the lockdown in March, people stayed in their homes and during this period, PUBG has made a record-breaking Rs 2,021 crore ($ 27 million). This has been revealed in the data of mobile app trend tracker Sensor Tower.

PubG is not banned in India as it is not a completely Chinese app. It is produced by the subsidiary company of South Korea's video game company Bluehole. After PUBG became popular, Chinese game company Tencent partnered with Bluehole to introduce it in China and also buy parts of it. The game is distributed by Tencent in India. The game was not banned in India because it has an ownership mix and is not entirely Chinese.

So far PUBG Mobile and Game for Peace have been downloaded 73.4 million times all over the world. Bhatar is number one in terms of downloads, it has been installed here 175 million times, which is 24 percent of the total download. China ranks second in terms of downloads and has 16.7 percent share. The US is at the third position with 6.4 percent share. Google Play Store accounts for 65 percent of total downloads while Apple App Store accounts for 35 percent.
