Railway run 2.8 km long freight train

New Delhi: Indian Railways has created a new history today. Amid the Corona crisis, Indian Railways successfully operated the longest freight train ever. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal himself gave this information by tweeting. The Railway Minister wrote that “a record 2.8 km long freight train was successfully operated by the Railways in the country. This experiment of running a goods train named Sheshnag by connecting 4 trains was successful. The railway minister also shared a video with it in which this goods train is seen passing through a station.

According to the Railway Minister, this particular freight train has been run from Nagpur to Korba. It added 4 trains in which a total of 251 wagons were fitted. He said that after the success of this experiment, with the help of goods train, there will be a lot of benefit in transporting goods from one place to another. In this way, more goods can be sent at one time, which will help in saving time and cost.
