Fair & Lovely was renamed Glow & Lovely

Mumbai. Fairness Cream is going to be renamed Fair & Lovely. Hindustan Unilever, the company that makes this cream, has now decided to change its name to Glow & Lovely. On Thursday, the company has given information about it in the stock market. Hindustan Unilever also stated that the male version of this cream will be named Glow & Handsome.

According to the company, the product with the new name will come on the market in the next few months. Along with this, the products launched by the company for men will now be available in the market under the name Glow & Handsome. According to the company, his new name is yet to be approved. With the approval, the product will be launched in the market.

The company had informed about the change in name only last week. At that time, along with the announcement, the company had informed that along with the name of the product, the name of 'Fair and Lovely Foundation' would also be changed. This foundation was formed in 2003 with the intention of giving stipend to women to help them complete their education. HUL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjeev Mehta said that, in addition to changes in Fair & Lovely, HUL's other skin care products will also reflect a new approach to positive beauty. He also said that in 2019 we made other changes by removing the picture of two faces from Fair and Lovely. Also we used 'glow' instead of 'fairness' for brand 'communication' which is better in terms of healthy skin assessment. Mehta claimed that the change has been well received by the customers. He said that the regulatory approval for the new name is awaited. The product with the revised name will be available in the market in the next few months.

Actually, protests have been going on for a long time on skin color, at such a time questions have also been raised about the product of skin whitening. Currently, due to the Black Life Matter movement in the US, the pressure on companies making blond products has increased significantly. Recently Johnson & Johnson has banned the sale of one such cream in the whole world including India. At the same time, many other beauty products companies are also avoiding products or advertisements in which there is talk of improving or believing fair skin.
