Bajaj Auto sold 2.78 lakh vehicles in June, down 31 percent over last year


Bajaj Auto reports 31 pc drop in June sales

new Delhi. Major two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto said on Thursday that it had sold a total of 2,78,097 units in June 2020. This time, sales have fallen by 31 percent compared to the same month last year. The company sold 4,04,624 units in June 2019. The company's domestic sales in June 2020 declined by 34 percent to 1,51,189 units. The company's domestic sales stood at 2,29,225 units in June 2019.

Bajaj Auto said its total two-wheeler sales were down by 27 percent to 2,55,122 units from 3,51,291 units in the same month a year ago. Two-wheeler sales stood at 1,46,695 units in June 2020 as against 1,99,340 units in June 2019. In this sense, it has declined by 26 percent.

The company's commercial vehicle sales also declined by 57 percent to 22,975 units in June 2020 from 53,333 units in June 2019. Domestic sales of commercial vehicles declined by 85 percent to 4494 units from 29,885 units in June 2019.

Bajaj Auto said total exports declined by 28 per cent to 1,26,908 units in June 2020 from 1,75,399 units in the same month a year ago. In the first quarter of the current financial year, the company's total sales have fallen by 64 percent and during this period, sales of 4,43,103 units have been recorded. The company's sales figure in the first quarter of 2019-20 was 12,47,174 units.
