indian railway

new Delhi. Soon, passenger trains with world class facilities will start running between 109 places in the country. The government has started the process for this. It is proposed to run these trains with the help of private sector. The government has sought proposals from private companies for this. According to the plan, 151 modern trains will run on routes connecting 109 places. According to the Indian Railways, it is estimated that under this scheme an investment of about Rs.30 thousand crores will be received from the private sector. This will be the first time that passenger trains will be run on Indian Railways infrastructure with private sector investment.

According to the plan, these trains will be run as high or semi high speed trains. These trains will be able to run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour. So that the passengers can save a lot of time and people can get a better option of air travel. Along with this, people can be made to experience better travel with better security and world class facilities. According to the railway department, these trains will be in the private sector, although the main operation of the train i.e. drivers and guards will be from the Indian Railways. The private sector will primarily be responsible for the facilities. The most modern technologies related to rail travel will be used in these trains. The fare for the rail journey will be decided in association with the private sector.

Indian Railways has been struggling with lack of funds for modernization for a long time. Being cheap, Indian Railways is the main mode of movement of common people, however despite serving millions of people, there is a pressure on the income of the railways, due to which work is slow on many projects related to facilities and security. To deal with the shortage of funds, the government has decided to include the private sector in the railways, in which the private sector will be able to run trains with modern services using the infrastructure of the railways. In this, the private sector will have a lot of leeway in fixing the fare rate, while the railways will also get better income on these routes.
