Sensex loses 210 points; Nifty closes by 71 points

new Delhi. Today, the domestic stock market has seen a decline due to the increase in cases of corona virus. In today's trade, the Sensex has fallen 210 points to 34962 and the Nifty has fallen 71 points to 10312. Investors are apprehensive that if the corona virus cases continue to grow like this, then the government may put a stop to business once again, which may have an impact on recovery.

In today's business, except for the FMCG sector, all other indices have seen a sharp decline. Public sector banks were the biggest losers, with the index closing down 3.31 per cent. At the same time, the metal sector index closed down by 2.64 percent. The IT, auto and banking sector index saw a decline of over 1 per cent. The FMCG sector index closed up 0.72 per cent.

38 stocks included in the Nifty have seen a decline today. The 15 stocks in the index have lost more than 2%. At the same time, Coal India and Axis Bank closed down by more than 4 percent. On the other hand Britannia closed up 2.13 per cent, HDFC Bank by 1.8 per cent and Cipla by 1.4 per cent.
