new Delhi. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) have infused a net Rs 21,235 crore into Indian capital markets so far in June. The economy is slowly opening up amidst the lockdown enforced by the Corona virus and the liquidity in the market has also increased, leading to increased FPI's appeal to the Indian markets. According to depository data, foreign portfolio investors infused Rs 22,893 crore in stocks from June 1 to 26, but withdrew Rs 1,658 crore from the debt or bond markets. Thus his net investment stood at Rs 21,235 crore.

Earlier, foreign investors remained net sellers for the last three consecutive months. He took out Rs 7,366 crore in May, Rs 15,403 crore in April and a record Rs 1.1 lakh crore in March. Harsh Jain, co-founder and chief operating officer (COO) of GRO, said, "FPI has increased investment in small and midcap stocks. They have been investing in these stocks for the last one year. "
