Yamuna Development Authority will build a logistic hub in 1200 hectare, employing more than 1 lakh people


YEIDA plans logistic hub at near Noida's upcoming Jewar aiport

Noida. Yamuna Development Authority is preparing to connect the areas around Noida International Green Field Airport under construction in Jewar by rail. In this connection, the Yamuna Authority has prepared a plan to build a logistic hub on more than 1200 hectares of land. For this, land of 21 villages of Gautam Buddha Nagar and Bulandshahr will be acquired.

The Chief Executive Officer of Yamuna Expressway Development Authority, Dr. Arun Veer Singh said that with the investment of crores of rupees in the logistics hub, more than one lakh people will also get employment. The area is currently used for farming. The Yamuna Authority will soon send a proposal to the NCR Planning Board to include it in the 2041 Maha Plan.

He informed that the land has been identified for the logistic hub. Nearly 1200 to 1400 hectares of agricultural area is adjacent to the Noida Airport. The authority is preparing to build a logistic hub in this area.

He informed that the authority is going to add several new areas in its 2041 plan. He said that the land of 21 villages of Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr have been identified close to the airport for the logistic hub. These include the land around the towns of Kakod, Jhajhar, Jahangirpur etc. He informed that the Delhi-Howrah rail route is passing through the proposed hub.
