IDFC First Bank providing employment to villagers, launched special assistance program

Private sector IDFC First Bank has launched a village-to-village mask campaign to provide livelihood to the people in rural areas in view of adverse conditions arising out of the corona virus epidemic. The bank gave this information in a release. The bank said that under this campaign, the bank has partnered with about 283 women customers in rural areas of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan who have been tasked to make cotton masks.

The bank distributes these masks among rural people. The bank said that at present, the entire country is suffering from an epidemic like Corona. Because of this, a job crisis has also arisen in front of millions of people. Especially in rural areas, where people are going through the most difficult phase. On one hand, security is the biggest question and on the other side, there is no starvation situation due to lack of work. In such a situation, IDFC First Bank has started this campaign to provide livelihood to its customers in rural areas.

The bank said that a total of two lakh two thousand masks have been prepared under it so far. The bank, along with two NGOs & Poverty and Vritti, is running the operation in Boraj, Renwal in Rajasthan and Pipkari, Bankheri in Madhya Pradesh. Bank's head Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Rachna Iyer said that due to corona, the income sources of people in rural areas have been badly affected. In such a situation, the bank is not only helping its customers, but by making them their medium, it is also moving towards the well being of other people. In such a situation, we are constantly giving livelihood opportunities to the customers and common people present in our rural markets.

Apart from this, the bank's white-collar program is also going on, under which rural families of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are also taking training related to dairy farming. Village Sakhi and bank customers have also been linked to this program.
