25,000 workers will get 125 days of guaranteed work, poor welfare employment campaign started from Rs. 50 thousand crores

PM modi Launched Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana to help boost livelihood opportunities in rural India

new Delhi. A large number of migrant workers have returned to their villages due to the lockdown applied for the war against the Corona virus epidemic. Now the challenge before the government is to provide them employment. To deal with this problem, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan, an employment guarantee of Rs 50,000 crore. This campaign has been started from Telihar village of Beldaur block of Khagaria district of Bihar. Initially 25,000 workers will be provided employment under this scheme for 125 days.

Prime Minister Modi launched the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan through video conference in the presence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. For this campaign 25,000 workers have been selected from 116 districts each in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha. These include 27 backward districts. About 66 percent of migrant workers will come under these districts. Villages in 116 districts of six states will be connected to this program through Common Service Centers (CSCs) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras. Compliance with social norms will be ensured in the wake of the Kovid-19 epidemic. This campaign is 125 days, in which 25 types of public works will be focused to provide employment to migrant laborers.

Along with this, infrastructure will be created in rural areas of the country. For this, resources worth Rs 50,000 crore will be put up. This is part of the Rs 50,000 crore budget. PM Modi said that the central and state governments are directly contacting the returned workers in all the districts. All assets will be part of creation. He said that 12 different ministries will coordinate this scheme, including rural development, panchayati raj, road transport and highways, mining, drinking water and sanitation, environment, railways, petroleum and natural gas, new and renewable energy, border roads, telecommunications. And the Ministry of Agriculture.

PM Modi said that 25 schemes of the government will be brought together and these workers will work in Gram Panchayat Bhawan and Anganwadi Center, National Highways, Railways and Water Conservation Projects. He said that we will put money in advance for 25 different works in 116 districts and ensure that all migrant workers in these districts can get employment.
