new Delhi. Air India has introduced a plan to work fewer days a week for its permanent employees. Under this, the airline's permanent employees can opt for work three days a week excluding pilots and cabin crew members. For this, they will be given 60 percent salary. Airline officials said the objective of implementing this measure is to improve Air India's cash flow situation amid the Corona virus epidemic. Officials said that the permanent employees who opt for this option can adopt this scheme for a year. The aviation industry has been badly affected by this epidemic. In the midst of this crisis, almost all airlines have taken steps such as staff pay cuts and layoffs to improve their cash flow.

Officials said that employees who would opt for fewer days of work a week would not be allowed to work any more in the remaining days. The lockdown was imposed from March 25 to prevent the corona virus in the country. A limited number of domestic passenger flights have resumed in the country from May 25. However, international passenger flights are still closed.
