Lucknow. In Uttar Pradesh, every level of preparation is being done to provide employment to migrant workers and workers. For this, the Yogi government has decided that their career counseling will be done to give employment to the workers according to merit. For this purpose, a committee will be constituted in every district under the chairmanship of the help desk and the Chief Development Officer. In this regard, Chief Secretary RK Tiwari has issued a letter to the officials of the administration. In which it has been asked to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer at the district level for regular monitoring of career counseling of migrant workers and operation of the help desk.
In this committee, the District Employment Assistance Officer will be the Member Secretary, while the Principal of the State Industrial Training Institute, the manager of the District Leading Bank, the Deputy Commissioner Industries, the concerned Block Development Officer and other District Level Officers of the departments related to employment schemes will be included as members. Tiwari has informed that a help desk will be set up at the development building at the district level and the block development officer's office at the development block level. Departmental officers will be nominated by the CDO to give information about the programs and schemes of various departments on the help desks.
The order of Chief Secretary RK Tiwari states that the Block Development Officer will invite migrant workers to his office and conduct career counseling keeping in mind the physical distance. Workers who want to return to their workplace will also be assisted by the District Level Help Desk.
Rajendra Kumar Tiwari said that a new application Sevamitra has been developed on the portal of employment department for migrant workers, data of unskilled-skilled workers has been uploaded. This data is currently unverified. At the time of counseling, District Employment Assistance Officer-Assistant Director will also verify the information of these workers by installing computers in the Block Development Office. The Chief Secretary said that the 'Aabha' app developed by the Department of Vocational Education will also be downloaded to workers holding Android phones.
