Toyota Kirloskar Motors shuts down manufacturing plant in Bidadi

Bengaluru Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has temporarily closed its manufacturing plant located in Bidadi Industrial Area, Bengaluru. The company said that two of its employees here were found infected with the Corona virus on Wednesday evening. The company then decided to temporarily close the plant to protect other employees.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has the only plant and manufactures all its vehicles here. The plant employs over 15,000 employees. Sources said that this plant spread over 350 acres is being sanitized following the standard operating procedure.

Company officials said that work at the plant will be resumed only when the plant is fully disinfected and all employees checked, following the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
