Sahara Group says no layoffs gives salary hikes promotions to employees despite COVID-19

Lucknow. Amid large numbers of people being unemployed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic and a lockdown-ridden economy, the Sahara group said that it would not take any of its employees out of the job despite difficult conditions. According to a statement released by the Sahara group, despite the Kovid-19 epidemic having a bad impact on the business, it has not fired any of its employees, but has promoted and raised many of them. The statement said that the Sahara group is also planning to provide employment to migrant workers from different states to Uttar Pradesh during the lockdown.

Workers will be given jobs locally to the best of their ability. Although the group also says that it is facing an unprecedented crisis due to the business being affected due to the lockdown, it has decided not to remove any of its employees from the job. According to the statement, the company has given a promotion to the personnel working in its 4,05,874 fields according to their productivity. In addition, 4,808 office workers have been given promotions with increments.

There are 1.4 million employees from various business units of Sahara Group. The group has appealed to all small and big industrial organizations to take maximum care of the livelihood of every employee in this difficult time. Earlier, Sahara chief Subrata Rai had assured all the employees, customers and investors of the group their full support at the time of Kovid-19 epidemic. At the same time, everyone was asked to strictly follow the government guidelines during the nationwide lockdown.
