Rupee ends 5 paise lower at 75.84 per dollar

Investors' sentiments were affected by fluctuations in the stock markets and withdrawal of money by foreign funds. According to traders, concerns about the recurrence of the Kovid-19 infection have reduced investors' risk appetite.

The rupee crossed the 76 level in the interbank foreign exchange market. The domestic currency opened weak at 76.10 per dollar in today's trade. However, it made up for its losses during the business. Finally, the rupee fell five paise to close at 75.84 per dollar from the previous closing level. The rupee had closed at 75.79 per dollar on Thursday. During the day's trading, the rupee rose to a high of 75.84 per dollar. It also touched a low of 76.10 per dollar.

At the same time, during today's trade, the dollar index showing the position of the dollar rose by 0.21 percent against 6 major foreign currencies. The rupee has fallen more than 6 percent against the dollar so far this year.
