Rupee dollar

new Delhi. On Tuesday, the rupee fell by six paise to close at 75.61 against the US dollar against the strengthening of the US dollar against major foreign currencies and softening of the domestic stock market.

According to traders, the increase in foreign fund investment in the domestic security market and the resumption of business activity supported the rupee, but the strengthening of the US dollar against other major foreign currencies increased the pressure on the rupee. The rupee opened at 75.53 on Tuesday in the interbank foreign exchange market and closed at 75.61, showing a fall of six paise at the end of trading. Earlier on Monday, the rupee had closed at 75.55 against the US dollar. During the four-hour trading session, the rupee witnessed a turnover between Rs 75.43 and Rs 75.61.
