New Delhi. If you have bought a new BS6 vehicle and you are going to take it on the road, then it is very important to know this government rule. Vehicles with Bharat Stage-6 (BS-6) emission standards will require a one-centimeter green sticker. The government has made green stickers mandatory on such vehicles. This order will be effective from October 1, 2020. According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, "One cm above the third registration plate for vehicles complying with BS-6 emission standards. Have to put a green strip of This order has been issued by amending the Motor Vehicles (High Security Registration Plate) Order, 2018.

Earlier, the government had said that from April 1, 2019, all motor vehicles will be fitted with High Security Registration Plate (HSRP), which will not be tampered with. Each of the new manufactured vehicles will be fitted within the windshield by HSRP manufacturers. Under the HSRP, a Chromion-based hologram will be placed on both sides of the front and back on the top left of the number plate. The third number plate will also have color coding according to the fuel used in the vehicle. Color coding will identify vehicles causing pollution.

An official of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said that BS-6 emission standards are in force from April 1, 2020. Under this, requests have been made that such vehicles can be identified separately, it should be arranged. The same happens in other countries.
