The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement regarding the extradition of liquor baron Vijay Mallya, who has been absconding for 4 years by embezzling money from India's banks. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, he does not have any information regarding Mallya's extradition. Earlier there were reports in the media about Vijay Mallya's extradition from India to India, which has been denied by the Ministry of External Affairs. Please tell that Vijay Mallya, the owner of closed Kingfisher Airlines, owes 9 thousand crores rupees from 17 banks of the country. He left India and fled to Britain on 2 March 2016.

Indian agencies appealed to the UK court for Mallya's extradition, and after a long fight, the UK court on 14 May sealed Mallya's extradition appeal to India. 20 days have passed since the decision of the British court and all the legal process of his extradition to India has also been completed. After this, it was revealed in some media reports that Britain is sending Vijay Mallya to India today. Vijay Mallya may come to India from UK on Wednesday night.

Mallya, a former MP, founded United Spirits, India's largest spirits company, and funded the now bankrupt Kingfisher Airlines. He has been charged with fraud and money laundering of Rs 9,000 crore. He left India in March 2016 as an excuse for personal reasons. Mallya has defrauded at least 17 Indian banks that allegedly took a full or partial stake in about 40 companies abroad by taking loans.
