Rupee ends 11 paise lower at 75.47 per dollar

new Delhi. On Wednesday, the rupee lost 11 paise to close at 75.47 against the US dollar despite a sharp trend in the domestic stock market. Forex traders said a positive trend in domestic stock markets, inflow of foreign funds, resumption of business activities and weakness of the US dollar supported the local currency, but traders are still apprehensive about China-US tensions. According to him, there are still many risks, including the US-China trade war, which could affect the first stage agreement. Due to this, the rupee fell.

The rupee opened strong at 75.04 in the interbank foreign exchange market but later lost its initial lead and at the end of trading the rupee exchange rate closed 11 paise at 75.47 against the US dollar at 75.47. It had closed at Rs 75.36 per dollar on Tuesday. The rupee touched a high of 75.04 and a low of 75.52 during trading.
