The fire of violent demonstrations against the death of African-American George Floyd in the United States has reached 140 cities, considered the worst civil unrest in the country in the past several decades. Curfew was imposed late Monday night in New York City after authorities failed to stop the violence. Like other cities of the country, curfew will remain in New York from 11 am to 5 am.

Nadella tweeted on Monday, "There is no place for hate and racism in our society." Empathy and mutual understanding is a beginning, but we should put in more effort. Nadella's Microsoft also said that they would all use the platform to raise the voice of the black and African-American community in the company. More than 4,000 people have been detained in these protests and curfew has been imposed in 40 cities.
