Amid protests in America, Indira Nooyi said, we all have to play our role

We all have a role to play, says Indra Nooyi as protests sweep US

Washington Amidst protests and violence in the US, Indian-Americans and former CEO of PepsiCo Indra Nooyi have said that everyone has the responsibility to identify this problem and systemic racism. Nui said in a statement posted on Twitter that last week we saw millions of Americans expressing their pain during protests across the country in response to the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breona Taylor and Ahmadu Arberry.

He also wrote the hashtag Black Lives Matter, which is the importance of the lives of black people, with this tweet. The fire of violent demonstrations against the death of African-American George Floyd in the US has reached 140 cities in the US, considered the worst civil unrest in the country in the past several decades.

Curfew was imposed late Monday night in New York City after authorities failed to stop the violence. Like other cities of the country, curfew will remain in New York from 11 am to 5 am. Nooyi said that it is the responsibility of all of us to recognize this pain and the systemic racism that caused this pain. He said that the road ahead is definitely challenging and called for justice to move forward on this path.
